Federico es pintor de formación prácticamente autodidacta, Roberto aprendió de su padre el oficio de la fotografía. A más de 10 años de colaborar juntos, su obra engaña a quien la observa, pues el lenguaje compartido por ambos artistas impide en ocasiones notar de primera vista la diferencia entre pigmentos sobre tela e imagen digital.
Su obra se ha exhibido en importantes espacios como el Museo Universitario del Chopo, el Museo de Arte Moderno en la Ciudad de México, la galería Henaine Fine Art en Nueva York y Art Basel Miami, además se encuentra en colecciones particulares en países como México, Alemania, Estados Unidos y Brasil.
"Nos gusta tomar elementos que provienen de lo real, lo material, lo físico y transformarlos a través del uso desmedido del color para salir de sí mismos, como un psicotrópico visual que requiere el reconocimiento de lo tangible para mostrar lo que no lo es. Descomponiendo los códigos de color que existen en la realidad, nuestra obra oscila ente lo figurativo fotorrealista y lo óptico - abstracto". Escoto + Carrara.

Federico is a self-taught painter; Roberto learned photography from his father. Having worked together for more than 10 years, their artwork can deceive the viewer, as their shared language makes it difficult to notice at first the differences between pigments on canvas or digital image.
Their work has been exhibited in important spaces, such as Museo Universitario del Chopo, Museo de Arte Moderno in Mexico City, Henaine Fine Art gallery in New York and Art Basel Miami, and it is also included in private collections in countries like Mexico, Germany, the United States and Brazil.
"We like taking elements that come from what is real, material, physical and transforming them through the excessive use of color in order to make them come out of themselves, as a visual psychotropic that requires the recognition of the tangible world to reveal what is not tangible. By decomposing color codes that exist in reality, our work oscillates between figurative photorealism and op- art". Escoto + Carrara.
